In a small courtyard to the right of the church of San Pietro in Montorio, stands the Tempietto, an extremely important Renaissance work by Donato Bramante (1444-1514).
The small temple, which takes the form of a circular building, stands on what was thought to be the exact site of the martyrdom of St Peter. Comments are closed.
